O Pioneers is the music of Sara Shaoul, a New York City-based musician, book lover and jumpsuit enthusiast. She writes the songs, sings and plays guitar, and is joined onstage by various talented friends. She is influenced, in no particular order, by the Magnetic Fields, ELO, Sparklehorse, the Decembrists, Bill Withers and Prince.

O Pioneers was formed in 2006 and has played at the Mercury Lounge, Living Room, Pianos and Southpaw, appeared on PS1 Radio, had a song in a movie (Speak starring Steve Zahn!) and recorded 3 EPs. O Pioneers is currently finishing up a debut album “Science and Progress.”
